(I was tempted to put a cheesy quote about growth here…still resisting the urge…)
I started Aloha Lovely back in 2016 as a creative outlet for myself. A place to document local island life as well as to create and share travel, style and wellness content. I’ve written reviews, created custom photography, and worked with a variety of great brands.
Although I have enjoyed the lifestyle blog format of Aloha Lovely, a labor of love and exploration has revealed a new path forward. And that is an evolution from a blog, into an Island-inspired lifestyle brand. Where a woman can find her next favorite tee, try out a new smoothie recipe, or get inspired to travel somewhere new. A perfect blend of shop and blog, a “shog”. Just kidding, definitely not a shog. 😉
Let me take a little step back. Last October I decided to take a break from both the blog and social media. You can read more about why I decided to do so here. Turns out it was the best decision I could have made. It was actually pretty amazing how much a solid break helped me manifest a new vision for Aloha Lovely. In my post about taking a step back from social media, I wrote about wanting to create more and consume less. And that’s exactly what I did. The break inspired where I am now, and it feels amazingly right.
Speaking of social media, I have decided to return to it. But, in a very disciplined and focused way. I am creating a defined strategy of how to use it for Aloha Lovely to help nurture a community. I know I will have to regularly remind myself that social media is just a tool for me to use, and to not allow it to use up too much of my time. I’m not going to be a cog in that wheel.
From blog to brand
So now for the big reveal. Over the past few months, I have been designing like a madwoman, working on a line of Island-inspired apparel and accessories. When I’m designing, I’m designing for a tribe. A tribe of women who are free-spirited explorers and dreamers. Who are searching for the perfect balance of design and comfort. I want women to feel their best when wearing Aloha Lovely apparel. My intent is to select fabrics that feel amazing and create designs that empower. Get a glimpse of the collection in our brand video below!
Beyond the apparel line, I want Aloha Lovely to be a space that feels inclusive and inspiring. Even if you’re not in the market for a new tee, I want to be able to provide engaging content that brings you good vibes. Encourages you, relates to you and accepts you.
So there you have it! The new Aloha Lovely is here and I am so excited to share it with you! Take a peek at our new shop which is the newest addition and be sure to hop on our email list to keep up with future releases and score some sweet discounts!
