Beachy Post Modern: Living Room Tour

How do you sum up your home style? Are you modern, eclectic, or maybe more traditional? If I had to define my home decor taste I would have to say it falls somewhere in the realm of post modern and beach chic. I love light colored walls and beadboard paneling but also dig 1960’s styling with clean lines and poppy colors. So for today’s post I thought I would share a room that I think encompasses both post modern and beach chic styling. Welcome to our living room. I find that I gravitate towards clean, bright spaces that are infused with eclectic art and sentimental family pieces. You can see here that there is a bit of a balancing act going on. It’s clean without feeling sterile and homey without feeling cluttered. Since this is one of two living room areas in the house, I felt that with this space we could refine the area a bit. I wanted it comfy but to also have a “front sitting room” sort of feel, this is probably the most formal area in our home.
